SARK

SARK (Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy) writes amazingly wonderful books. I have only seen her first ones:

1991 – A Creative Companion: How to Free Your Creative Spirit
1992 – Inspiration Sandwich: Stories to Inspire Our Creative Freedom
1999 – The Bodacious Book of Succulence: Daring to Live Your Succulent Wild Life
2000 – Transformation Soup: Healing for the Splendidly Imperfect
2001 – Eat Mangoes Naked: Finding Pleasure Everywhere and Dancing with the Pits!

They have been hugely important for me personally. She is a kind of fairy godmother to her readers. She talks (or writes, in her own handwriting – all her books are entirely hand-written and hand-drawn, hand-painted) about her experiences, lessons learned, inspiring people she’s known, favourite writers, inspirations of whatever kind, techniques for living and self-nurturing, creation, magic, joy, life, friendship, love etc. Her books are impossible to praise too highly.

Her wikipedia page says: “At age ten, she became friends with an 80 year old neighbor, Mr. Boggs. When Mr. Boggs went to the hospital with a serious illness, he credited young Susan for helping him recover with the homemade cards and letters she sent every day for a month. No one else, he said, had visited or called during his illness. The experience inspired Kennedy to spend her life in some similar work.”
And she has.

Thank you SARK. 😀
